Captain's Ready Room
The Captain's Ready Room is like
his private office on the Bridge. It is located to port of the main Bridge and is one of
only three rooms on Deck 01.
In this room the Captain conducts private meetings, special briefings and just relaxation.
It is constructed to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible - it is richly furnished and
an aquarium in the corner provides a soothing blue glow. In the center of the room is the
Captain's desk with a computer terminal built in. Behind the Captain's chair is a
multi-function display that for most Captains, usually shows a painting of the ship.
There are three chairs in various positions around the room, and a sofa on the starboard
wall which also doubles as a bed. The fore wall has two large space windows, and aft is
the Captain's head. Adjacent to the space windows is the aquarium which has yet to contain
any marine life.
The ready room, like the Bridge, is able to be heremetically sealed and isolated from the
rest of the ship. It also contains four type IV phaser rifles and has the ability, in
extreme circumstances, to act as a lifeboat and be jettisoned from the ship, although this
information is classified and known only by the senior staff. It has an 7 day life support
and replicator supply.
